Girls Getting Ready for Galentine's Day Girls Night Out

Though it may not be an official holiday, Galentine’s Day has become a popular way for women everywhere to empower themselves and celebrate their friendships. To help you and your gals have the ultimate Galentine’s Day in Fort Worth, our female team at Kalos Medical Spa has put together this guide. So, leave the guys behind and show your besties how much you love them with these fun group activities!

9 AM: Start the day off with a yoga class

Although the founder of Galentine’s Day, Leslie Knope of Parks and Recreation, started the holiday with waffles, we suggest starting the day off with a healthier option. And since group exercise provides numerous benefits, including burning more calories and creating a sense of camaraderie, make sure to invite your squad! Grab your besties and sign up for a yoga class at The Studio in downtown Fort Worth. The Studio offers warm (90-95°) and slightly warm (80-85°) vinyasa and yin classes for all levels.

11 AM: Rest & recharge with a healthy-ish lunch

After working your way through some Chaturangas and down-dogs, head a few blocks up Main Street to Chef Stefon Rishel’s new restaurant, Wishbone & Flynt, to relax and recharge with a healthy-ish lunch. W&F’s winter lunch menu features an all-time classic with a Southern twist—the BLT with a spicy house-made remoulade on a brioche bun—as well as the lighter beet salad with arugula, goat cheese, faro, and apple slices. Plus, Happy Hour is served from 11 AM-6 PM, so you and your gals can enjoy $6 margaritas and $4 glasses of wine. After yoga, we’d say you earned it!

1 PM: Walk along the Clearfork Trinity River

The Clearfork Trail runs along the Clearfork Trinity River, providing walkers, cyclists, and joggers a tranquil getaway within the urban Clearfork neighborhood. The trail is part of the 60-mile Trinity Trail system, allowing users to experience nature while still being close to shopping, restaurants, and bars. So grab your gals and hit the trail for a drama-free hot girl walk, knowing that a sweet indulgence awaits.

4 PM: Indulge in chocolatey goodness

What would Galentine’s Day be without chocolate? Satisfy your sweet tooth at Kate Weiser Chocolate, a Fort Worth favorite, conveniently located along the Clearfork Trail in The Shops at Clearfork. Kate’s bonbons are all handcrafted and painted, making each bite a truly unique experience. One taste and you’ll understand why Kate Weiser Chocolate was named “Top 10 Chocolatiers in North America” by Dessert Professional Magazine!

5 PM: Toast your friendship

After indulging in some of Fort Worth’s finest chocolate, head over to the Grand Cru Wine Bar in the rustic Southside neighborhood for a toast. Celebrate your friendship with a perfect glass of red, white, or bubbly in Grand Cru’s warm and inviting atmosphere. This independent, locally-owned wine bar boasts over 200 selections available by the bottle and glass, plus a tapas-style menu with a variety of meats, cheeses, and other desserts to pair with your vino.

They also host live music throughout the week, so be sure to check their Facebook page before you go!
